Neolix secures $137 million to accelerate autonomous Robovan expansion

The funding will boost Neolix’s production and commercialization of L4 autonomous delivery vehicles.

Beijing-based Neolix Technologies has successfully raised 1 billion yuan ($137.3 million) in an extended Series C+ funding round. The fresh investment, backed by a mix of logistics companies and financial investors, will drive the expansion of Neolix’s Level 4 autonomous vehicles in urban logistics. China International Capital Corporation (CICC) Capital participated in the round, though the startup has not disclosed the names of other industry investors.

Pioneering Autonomous Logistics

Neolix is positioning itself as a leader in the commercial autonomous vehicle market, with a focus on logistics applications. The company aims to become the first Chinese firm to deliver over 10,000 Level 4 (L4) autonomous vehicles, surpassing a cumulative 20,000 client orders by early 2025. Neolix claims to have delivered over 3,000 autonomous vehicles to date, with its fleet accumulating more than 30 million kilometers in autonomous driving mileage.

Growth in the Robovan Market

Founded in early 2018, Neolix specializes in autonomous logistics vehicles, often referred to as "Robovans." These self-driving delivery units cater to office complexes, industrial parks, university campuses, and city centers. CEO Yu Enyuan emphasized that Neolix’s integration of automated cargo-handling solutions represents a major breakthrough, further optimizing logistics efficiency and cutting delivery costs by over 50%.

Technological Advancements and Market Position

Neolix has introduced three key Robovan models—the X3, X6, and X12—each designed for different load capacities to support e-commerce, fresh food supply chains, and retail deliveries. The company has obtained Robovan road-use rights in over 85 Chinese cities, representing more than 80% of the country's total issued licenses for autonomous commercial vehicles. Additionally, Neolix unveiled its proprietary 4D One Model in 2024, an in-house developed L4 autonomous perception system that enhances the efficiency and accuracy of self-driving logistics operations.

Expansion Plans and Industry Influence

With significant backing from investors, Neolix is expanding its production capabilities to meet rising demand. The company has constructed the world’s first intelligent manufacturing facility dedicated to L4 autonomous vehicles, capable of producing up to 10,000 units annually. Neolix supplies its Robovans to major logistics players, including SF Express, JD Logistics, and China Post, and anticipates a surge in commercialization across sectors such as fresh produce, cold chain logistics, and express delivery services in the latter half of 2025.

The latest funding round marks a major step forward for Neolix as it accelerates the deployment of autonomous delivery vehicles in urban logistics. With advanced technology, expanding production, and strong investor support, the company is poised to drive innovation in autonomous logistics solutions. As demand for self-driving delivery vehicles grows, Neolix is well-positioned to shape the future of smart logistics and commercial autonomous transportation.
